Prayer Reminders From Your Worship Commission
|
So many people we know are going through terribly difficult times in their lives.
Some families are grieving over the loss of a loved one. Others are dealing with
serious health issues, including heart problems, strokes, disease and chronic
conditions. There is no need to list individuals here. Ask God to guide you and
show you who needs prayer. Then take the time to pray for them.
Remember especially the family members who are care-givers. For some, the
whole focus of their lives has shifted to caring for a parent, spouse or other family
member, compelling them to make it a priority over everything else in their lives.
They need our prayers for strength, support and hope. They need to be
surrounded by Christian friends who care. Keep them in your prayers.
Pray too for wisdom in all medical decisions. Sometimes deciding what path to take
for treatment can be overwhelming.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the
Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I
trust.” Ps. 91:1-2
Do not stop praying for our country. It may seem hopeless to expect our leaders to
be open to God’s leading these days. But we can’t give up. Certainly God wants
us to be praying for America and those who are in authority. If every Christian
spent at least 5 minutes every day praying for America, what would happen?
Would God honor those efforts, that time spent? Scripture tells us that when we
cry out to the Lord, He listens. Take time to cry out for America.
“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your
unfailing love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.” PS.85:6-7
