Redeemer Lutheran Preschool

Health: A medical form is to be completed before entrance into school. The state of
New Jersey requires proof of immunization for Polio, Measles, Rubella, Mumps, Hib,
and Hep B. Our school does not administer medication unless it is an ongoing life
threatening situation, and written approval has been given by the parent and a doctor.
(ex. Bee sting allergy, Asthma.).
Clothing: Children should be dressed simply and comfortably. Clothes should be
washable and easy for the child to handle. Play clothes are perfect.
Snacks: A healthy snack is provided each day. Often a special snack is prepared in
circle, so children can see how it is made. Birthday treats are also encouraged. Our
school is peanut and nut free.
Field Trips: Pre-K children will go on 4 or 5 educational field trips a year. Three-year
olds will go on three trips per year. Special times during the year someone will come to
the school for a special visit and learning experience.
Library: Each week the children will receive a library book to be used until the
following week. The parents are responsible for its care and if lost or damaged will pay
for its replacement.
School Closings: Tune to the local radio stations, 102.3 FM; 103.7 FM or 1360 AM
or 1023wsus.com for school closings or delays.
School Calendars: It will closely follow the Sussex County school calendar.
You are welcome to visit our school and observe the children and staff at work. Feel
free to call for an appointment or for more information. Our number is 973-383-0217.
There is a parent get-together in the fall and a conference in the spring. Parents may
ask for a special conference at any time during the school year.
